We inform our visitors that on Friday 9 October, 2015 parts of the galleries on the 1st and 2nd floor (parts of our collection of the "19th-century Art" and "20th-century Art before 1945" - including "Mihály Munkácsy and the Realism of the End of Century" and Nude Sculptures from the Turn of the Century" - cannot be visited due to technical issues. Full-price tickets for the permanent exhibitions can be purchased with a 50% concession these days. (Further discounts are not available.)

Between 5 July and 31 December, 2015, our Csontváry paintings are on loan at the exhibition of the Várkert Bazár, Csontváry's Genius: The Lonely Cedar, that is organised in the building of the Army Headquarters located on the Dísz square. Due to the refurbishment of certain exhibition halls, our collections of "Medieval Stone Carvings" cannot be visited.

Dear Visitors! The Dome can host a maximum of 15 people at once and it is opened from Tuesday till Sunday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. In case of bad weather conditions the Dome remains closed because of safety reasons. It is possible to visit only the Dome with a Single Ticket for 1800 HUF.

The Hungarian National Gallery hires out its exhibition rooms for evening receptions of an appropriate standard. These may be of a standing or a seated kind. The fee depends on the type of event, the length of time it is expected to last, and the numbers attending.
