Tours are available in the Permanent Collection as well as all the Temporary Exhibitions. There is also the possibility for specially tailored tours focusing on a certain theme. Through many years of experience in this field it is has become apparent how much the blind and the poor sighted enjoy and profit from a tour through the museum. This fact is explained by the numerous different experiences a visit to the museum provides us with – the sight of the Art work is just one of many! The atmosphere of the Museum itself provides a lot of stimulus – just think of the sensory discovery of the palatial spaces! Added to this is the unique personality and knowledge of the Gallery Educator which is going to add to the thoroughly deep and unforgettable experience. The only divergence necessary from a traditional tour of the gallery is the detail with which the Museum Educator will describe the Work of Art at hand.

This session is for those visitors who prefer to thoroughly submerge themselves in the discovery of one or two Art works. During this interactive guided tour – apart from the profound description of the painting or sculpture - tangible and tactile materials as well as scent samples are used. It is our aim to be thus able to jointly discover relations between the colours and forms as experienced through the words, the odours or scents, and the materials.
