WINE WEDNESDAYS WITH MODIGLIANI & PICASSO

IN JULY FROM 6 PM TO 10 PM AT THE HUNGARIAN NATIONAL GALLERY

 

Enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the terrace of the Royal Palace of Budapest while sipping your wine, as kings and queens might have had. The Hungarian National Gallery awaits visitors on four Wednesdays in July with extended opening hours until 10 pm. The dome of the Royal Palace offers an unparalleled sight of the city.

Your ticket also entitles you to visit our permanent exhibitions (Late Medieval Wooden Sculptures and Panel Paintings, Late Gothic Winged Altarpieces, Late Renaissance and Baroque Art, Nineteenth-century Art (including the section of Mihály Munkácsy and the Realism of the End of the Century), Modern times – Hungarian Art between 1896 and World War II, Twentieth-century Art after 1945) and the Masterpieces from the Museum of Fine Arts as well as the temporary exhibition which is open that day (Modigliani OR Picasso).

Reduced price tickets are available for:

– persons who qualify for free entry to our exhibitions during regular opening hours;

– visitors under 26 (citizens of the European Economic Area);

– visitors over 62 (citizens of the European Economic Area);

– members of the Friends of the Hungarian National Gallery.

By bus from Deák tér (No. 16) or Széll Kálmán tér ( No. 16, 16/A or 116), on foot, by bus or by funicular from Clark Ádám tér, or by elevator from Dózsa György tér (the elevator operates until 10.30 pm on Wine Wednesdays. Please note that you need to have a 200 HUF coin to use it.).
